Regent HR appoints new Directors

Regent Advisory has appointed Rebecca Barnett & Josh Payne as its first Directors since opening in January 2025.

Rebecca brings a wealth of experience from the Human Resources industry, having delivered HR solutions for small and medium-sized businesses across various sectors including professional services, retail, manufacturing, and sports. Her extensive career has seen her cultivate high-performing workplace cultures whilst ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory bodies.

Commenting on her appointment Rebecca said, "With significant changes to employment legislation on the horizon, it’s more important than ever for businesses to be proactive and prepared. I’m excited to help our clients navigate these challenges, ensuring they build workplaces that are not only compliant but are also set up for long-term success."

Rebecca will oversee all HR services delivered by Regent HR, with additional responsibility for partnership development as the company seeks to establish a strong presence in the Midlands.

Josh joins the Board alongside his existing commitments within Professional Rugby, where he’s plied his trade for nearly a decade. Over the course of his career, Josh has worked with the likes of Worcester Warriors, the Welsh Rugby Union, and Premiership Women’s Rugby, and is currently working alongside the Celtic Challenge as their Consultant General Manager. Having graduated from the University of Exeter with a Master's in Business Administration, Josh has experience in Team Services, Business Management, and Strategic planning amongst other notable business services.

More recently, he joined the British Weight Lifting Board of Directors as an Independent Non-Executive Director with a specific focus on the Home Nations.

Josh will oversee Regent HR’s Business Operations, ensuring a solid foundation for the company to build upon.

“It’s a really exciting time to be stepping into the HR space,” Josh said, commenting on his appointment.

“We know it’s a difficult time for businesses, especially with changes in legislation. However, we are confident we can provide a first-class service, whilst maintaining a realistic cost base that businesses can afford in this challenging time.”

Both start with immediate effect and take charge of the Company’s Board.
